Construction of the inaugural phase of the new State Park at Rochester’s iconic High Falls will begin soon. It will enhance High Falls Terrace Park by adding accessible overlooks, a nature-themed playground, and public restrooms.
When completed, the 40-acre urban park will include the land at the bottom of the gorge, starting at High Falls and extending almost three-quarters of a mile north, on both sides of the river.

In early 2023, Greentopia, Genesee Land Trust, and Tour Blend produced this video, in English and Spanish, describing plans for High Falls State Park, and conducted a survey with over 1400 respondents.
